On Purpose

a long pause

Come on in. Grab a throw and scoot your chair up to my chippy white table. Coffee or tea?

How I wish it were really possible to open my door to your company!

But the next best thing in my world is connecting with you over this blogosphere. And since it’s been over three years, we have a lot to catch up on. Quiet Chatter has begun!

YOUR GO:

#1  Anything fun out-of-this-world happen to you these past couple years? Good or bad? I’d love to hear.

#2  So far, 2019 is bringing:  a) hope

b) inspiration  c) longing for a nap  d) pray for me.

#3  What was one bright spot in your day, today?

MY GO:

#1   best shared by pics. #7 on the way in May!

#2   a, b, c and d.

#3   our 3 month gym membership expired today! I thought I had one more month. I got in one last swim. Thinking through the travel time factor, expense and freezing temps, it was music to my ears. Tonight I begin the free school indoor walk 2 minutes from home.

More coffee? Or time to tackle that to-do list.

In this newish year I hope you are kicking your goals, if you bravely made any. I just achieved one of mine – chatting with YOU!!!!!!!

Thank you for stopping in. Your visit made my day! But before you go, will you take a verse with you?

The Lord your God is in your midst,
a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.”
(Zephaniah 3:17)

God is with us.
God saves us.
God rejoices over us.
God quiets us with His love.

Promises to unpack.

For me today? I have some big ole’ worries swirling around in my heart. I am in need of “quieted by His love.”

Hunkered down in this wintry weather,

margi

  1. The Lord has been gracious to us in allowing us the honor or serving Him. Such joy it is to be allowed to return some of the love God gives us. Yes, I’ll pray that God will give you peace as you look to Him for answers. Thanks for coming back you were missed for sure.

    1. Thanks Raynell. Glad to keep up with you! Serving the Lord and joy go together. You model both well❤
      Glad to hear from you!

  2. So glad you are back! I’ve missed our chats. Two years ago today I had my stroke. Yes, it was traumatic, even scary when I couldn’t communicate very well and lost my ability to sing – something I love to do. But God has been faithful through it all. He always had me in His hands, molding me into something new. The scars that are left remind me of the scars of our Savior. They must be necessary to make me into who He wants me to be, just as His were necessary for me to be saved. My word for this year is “SATISFIED” He is teaching me daily. I look forward to what God has for us in 2019. I praise Him for life.

    1. Oh wow Karen. Two years and a whole lot of pain, loss and hard work. You have a wonderful way of expressing God’s goodness!
      Love your word, satisfied!
      Thanks, Karen, for following and freeing up time to chat❤

  3. #1. My Mom moved in with us in March.
    #2. a, b, c, and d (I chose JOY as my one-word resolution, so I am experiencing JOY in all things.)
    #3. Grand #15 (five year old Martha) is visiting with me and she always makes me smile!
    Enjoyed your quiet chat and look forward to more chats with you this year! I love you, Margi!

  4. I love those verses. One upon a time the rejoicing part was my favorite part of it. Now it’s the quited part. His love quiets my soul. I must confess it is NOT an easy task. Thanks for using your gift my friend.💝💞💝

    1. Thank you for encouraging me! We are kindred spirits, my friend❤
      So true on the verse. I love how God personalizes His Word in different seasons of our lives.
